Mostly I walk around. I look at things then I try to make a picture that represents something I've seen and how I saw it. I usually walk around with just paints and paper in my bag so my small paintings are painted either directly from the tube or with my hands or paper towels or napkins if they are handy. I'll work on a painting until I get comfortable with it then when I get in the studio I take some of these images and work them into big paintings.
